Priorities

Police Priorities

The Current Police Priorities for Wantage West NAG are:

1.    Rural Crime. Due to the very isolated location of farm outbuildings throughout the Vale of the White Horse the area is being targeted for theft of plant and diesel. There are also thefts of Landrovers and 4x4 vehicles.

  1. Hare coursing and poaching offences. Offenders come into the area between September and March to commit hare coursing and poaching offences. In the process they commit criminal damage and public order offences against land owners and gamekeepers.
  2. Anti-social behaviour. Letcombe Regis, Letcombe Bassett, East and West Challow, Childrey, Wantage Town and Grove residents are concerned about young people gathering in local parks, car parks and other prominent locations being noisy and underage drinking. Some of them drive anti-socially.

Questionaire Priorities

The Current Priorities from Wantage West NAG's questionaire are:

1.    Anti-social behaviour

2.    Traffic problems (parking and speeding)

3.    Burglary
